Overview
Modern Health's cancellation policy requires you to cancel sessions at least 24 hours in advance to avoid forfeiting a session credit. This policy ensures providers are compensated for their time. Some providers may have a 48-hour cancellation policy, which is clarified before the first session. You can reschedule by canceling and booking a new time. A step-by-step cancellation guide is available below.
Cancellation Policy
Last-minute cancellations or no-shows will forfeit sessions from your total allotment.
When you cancel a session, our platform prompts the following question. This is to ensure you have acknowledged Modern Health's Cancellation Policy and understand what happens when a session is cancelled before the 24-hour mark.
We uphold our 24-hour late cancellation policy to protect and reimburse our providers for their time. Modern Health sets this standard and expectation for all of our members, which is why we make no exceptions. However, we understand that life happens, and sometimes a session may need to be canceled. If you need to cancel an appointment to reschedule, we encourage it to be done at least 24 hours before the session starts. You can schedule a new time before or after you process the cancellation. Additionally, some providers may have a cancellation policy of 48 hours, which they will clarify before you schedule your first session.
Please keep in mind that cancelling a session less than 24 hours from the start will forfeit a session credit to protect our providers' time. We have provided a step-by-step guide on how to cancel a session here.
