Is therapy right for me?
Therapy is a method of caring for your mental and emotional health by addressing clinical symptoms. If you have a clinical concern (defined by the duration and severity of symptoms) therapy may be appropriate. Modern Health only works with licensed providers that have advanced training and practice evidence-based care. We’ve built a robust network in order to ensure we are able to match you with a provider that meets your specific needs.
What are the different types of therapy?
There are lots of different types of therapy out there and they differ in important ways. More traditional forms of therapy have a focus on past experiences and developing insight around your challenges. Newer therapies (like CBT and ACT) are more active and directive, focused on the present and are goal-oriented, thinking about how to change patterns of thinking and behaving. The newer therapies have a stronger evidence-base, but sometimes we might just need a supportive ear. Think about what you are going through and what might be the best fit for you.
